Day 30, februari 6, Niagara Falls - Toronto - Frankfurt

When we open the curtains, we see that the wind has died down because the mist from the waterfall is now going straight up. As a result, they are not as clearly visible as yesterday.

We get ready, I write a bit of the report, and then we head to breakfast at the other IHOP located 2 floors below in our hotel. The room does not include breakfast. However, we did receive a discount voucher for The Keg, worth CAD 30, and for IHOP, worth CAD 15, but we used those yesterday.

We enjoy our meal thoroughly, as it might be a while before we get another one. Jan orders coffee and is refilled three times, and he even gets a coffee to go.

Back in the room, we pack the last few things and check out. We are still early for the bus, which leaves at half past twelve, so we sit in the lobby and surf the internet. And what better to look at than future vacations? 😊

Indeed, a room with a view

The bus arrives right on time. We expected to be the only ones, but that's not the case. There are 8 of us, and 2 more join at the next stop. This bus smells normal, unlike the previous one.

We leisurely walk through Union Station and take a last look around. It's not convenient to wander around the neighborhood with our luggage, so we have to leave it at that. This time, Jan buys a ticket with a senior discount, and then we just board the train because it's already there. It wasn't really necessary, as at this time, the train runs every fifteen minutes, and besides, we're quite early, but it's just ingrained in your system. Taking a later bus from Niagara Falls wouldn't have been an option, as it would have made us late.

At the airport, we find a quiet spot to sit down. We have lunch with the bag of chips from the hotel room in Buenos Aires. Occasionally, we take turns walking around, and around half past four, we go check if we can drop off our luggage using the self-service system.

The train with wich we wned to the bus

It takes a while, although we don't have to wait, but then we drop them off and can go through security. We don't have access to the lounge here, but we bought it. From half past six, we can enter. It's a bit pricey, but here we can sit comfortably and have some food. The selection is good, and they have very tasty cole slaw. It's just a shame that the drinks are not self-service, and the bartender is often away.

At 8:30 PM, we walk to the gate and board the plane. We sit at the front by the bulkhead. It's generally a good spot, but there are no footrests, which makes it a bit less comfortable for me. There's no drink service in Premium Economy, and when they take meal orders, they inform us that there's only one beef option left, which we both wanted. I opt for the chicken instead. While we wait for takeoff, I finish watching Jurassic World Dominion. The food is average to mediocre as usual.

Then the lights dim, and we try to get some sleep. This time, I manage to sleep better than Jan, but it takes a while for me to get comfortable.
